As yet I have been able to find out little about the real Luneau, whom I have written as an aristocratic priest-horseman in Major Tom's War.
Tom spoke reasonable French and did not always need an interpreter but I would assume that this was not always the case and A.P.M.s were ordered to have an interpreter at hand.
I have no photograph of Luneau so was delighted to find the note within the papers of Gaston I was shown for a few tantalising hours on the last day of my last visit in June 2018.
The note is asking for something to be sent to his billet with a M. Doyen - another familiar name! It mentions him being somewhat unwell, 'un peu souffrant'.
